Born into a large polygamous family in Ilorin, Kwara State, Adebayo grew up in Lagos. He attended the University of Ilorin where he obtained a Bachelor of Laws and a Master of Arts (MA) in Theater Arts.

Adebayo’s lifelong ambition, when he was still young, was to become a lawyer. His father always supported his children’s career choices, whatever path each of them decided to follow.
His love for film and his subsequent presence in the field was born after watching his father on television at a young age. When his father saw his interest in acting, he gave his son all the support he needed, even after he graduated from law school. In an interview, he expressed how independent his father was about his decision to become an actor saying:
“My father did not force any career on any of his children. He left us to study the courses we showed interest in and have capacity for. I must also say that he influenced me indirectly as an actor because if I had not enjoyed his acting style while I was growing up, there was no way I could have showed interest in acting.”
Adebayo started acting in 1995, the same year he starred in Tade Ogidan’s movie Owo Blow. Since his big success, the flamboyant comedian has become a household name when it comes to Yoruba movies. has been released in hundreds of home videos and won the hearts of Yoruba movie fans.
He later starred in films like Oba-Elesan, Tojo-terun, Baba-Ologba, Idanwo, Shola fe Pami, Ikan, Aranbada, Agbara Obirin, Mayomi, Ole, Inu, Orija ju Ogun, Olong, Fitila, Ile et une host of others. In 2006, he acted in a movie titled “Idanwo”.
