Danny Masterson moved to maximum security California State Prison

Convicted rapist and actor Danny Masterson has been transferred to the maximum security prison where Charles Manson was long held.

The That ’70s Show alum, who was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison for raping two women, has been transferred from North Kern State Prison in Delano, California to Corcoran State Prison in Corcoran, California. on Monday, where he is expected to serve most of his sentence.

Last week, a judge denied the That ’70s Show actor’s bail request, saying he was a flight risk because he “didn’t have a wife to come home to.”

According to California prison records, Masterson, 47, will be eligible for parole in July 2042 at age 66.

The Scientologist will reportedly reside in the Corcoran building on level four, the highest security level in the prison. Prisoners are placed at this level when they require additional protection and/or supervision.

If he shows signs of a “mental disorder”, he is reportedly placed under 24-hour surveillance, including 24-hour CCTV and cell checks by prison guards every 30 minutes.

If Masterson shows signs of despair and remains in danger, he is taken to a small prison protection unit where prisoners are housed if they are injured.

The famous cult leader Charles Manson spent almost 10 years in the Protective Housing wing. Corcoran also temporarily housed Sirhan Sirhan, the man twice convicted of murdering Robert F. Kennedy in 1968, as well as the “Dating Game Killer” Rodney Alcala.

Masterson has a 9-year-old daughter, Fianna, with his ex-wife, 43-year-old actress Bijou Phillips. Sentencing before filing for divorce in September.

Citing “irreconcilable differences” in her California filing, Phillips also sought sole custody of Fianna, but allowed the teen to visit Masterson in prison.
