Police arrest Osun monarch’s son over killing of US-based lecturer

Prince Eniola Oyeyode, the son of Ogiyan of Ejigbo, Oba Oyeyode Oyesosin, has been detained by the Osun State Police Command in connection with the murder of Dr. Richard Idowu Adeoriokin, a lecturer residing in the United States.

After celebrating the monarch’s 50th coronation anniversary, the deceased was shot by a local hunter at Prince Eniola’s home in Ejigbo town, according to LIB. He was taken to a private hospital, where it was determined he was dead.

The arrest was confirmed by the command’s spokeswoman, SP Yemisi Opalola. She stated that Prince Oyeyode gave his civilian guard, Hammed Abdul Jelili, instructions to shoot his double barrel to see if it was functioning properly.

But the victim was shot by the guard straight, killing him.
