Model Sofia Richie discloses she is expecting her first child with husband Elliot Grainge

The first child that American model Sofia Richie is expecting with husband Elliot Grainge will be born soon.

The 25-year-old model, who married 30-year-old Grainge in April of last year, revealed her pregnancy in a gorgeous Vogue picture session, stating, “I’ve learned more in the past six months than I have in my entire life.”

The celebrity also disclosed the gender of her “Gemini baby,” stating, “Her due date is a bit up in the air because she’s growing pretty fast.”

Richie claimed to have discovered her pregnancy “very, very early,” stating that she was roughly four weeks along. I was traveling to Milan during fashion week and intended to attend the Prada presentation. I felt horrible as I completed a very short 24-hour turnaround, but I didn’t give it any thought. I mistook it for jet lag.

She took a pregnancy test prior to going to Ed Sheeran’s show in Los Angeles because the couple has been “casually trying” for a child since getting married.

“When I said I was checking, Elliott didn’t really flinch,” the woman stated. There was a very faint line that I could see while taking one of those really bad at-home tests. I was accustomed to witnessing bad things, so I could tell when something looks different.

The couple completed three tests together after Grainge hurried to CVS to obtain additional tests while speaking with Sofia. Richie described the experience as follows: “He’s such a sweet guy he always wants to protect my emotions and expectations, so he kind of sat me down and said, ‘If these are negative, don’t be upset.” Our time will come.

“All three tests came back positive when we turned them in at the same time.” We both sobbed because he was so happy. It was impossible not to yell it from the rooftops because it was so absurd and overwhelming. Even with my pals, though, I was quite guarded because I knew I was so young.

The daughter of singer Lionel Richie, 74, and the British record executive waited until the star was eight weeks pregnant before telling their parents – presenting the pregnancy tests in a Hermes box,

Sofia said: ‘Watching their reaction go from like, ‘I’m about to get an expensive present’ to like ‘I’m about to get a grandchild’ was really sweet.”’

Revealing why she kept her pregnancy under wraps until the third trimester, she said: ‘I wasn’t not posting because I felt like I wanted to have this grand announcement. There was an anxiety for me about hitting certain milestones [when it came to the pregnancy], and once I passed that 21-week mark, I felt like I was in the safe zone.

‘Now that I’m there, I feel like I’ve made it over the major hurdles and I feel safe and comfortable announcing it, and I can now have those open conversations and be honest with the people watching my videos.

Sofia and Elliot sparked romance speculation in January 2021, just a few months after Sofia and Scott Disick, 40, broke up after dating on and off for almost four years.
