Reekado Banks grew up in christian and God fearing family , his father was a singer and his mother a dancer .His parents are pastors and they were able to bring him up in a christian way and he had never desist from that path.

Reekado Banks is a Nigerian singer, who also do a little bit of rap , he came into limelight in 2014 after Doro boss signed him to his record label , Mavin Records . He stayed underground for years after he started singer and couldn’t hit stardom , Don JAzzy noticed his talent and with wasting much time signed him and bring out the star in him and he became what he is today . Reekado Banks won Rookie of the Year at The Headies 2014 leaving YBNL rapper Lil Kesh stranded as he was in the same category with Banks for the award.
He has been able to work with many stars after being signed to Marvin records, his debut track that earned him credit is “Turn It Up” where he featured Marvin first lady Tiwa Savage and the song was released on 21 February Reekado Banks
His elder brother ( The producer ) communicated with the label on his behalf when Marvin Record embarked on a talent search , he submitted of his songs to Don Jazzy endorsed. Don Jazzy was really impressed at his work and he had no other choice than to send for him, that was how how got signed to MArvin Record.
His brother was the person who made everything possible for him, he is part of his success and that is what good and responsible big brothers should always do for their little brothers ,lift them up in the time of need. There are other artistes who are currently signed to Marvin Records and they include Korede Bello, Tiwa Savage, Di’Ja, Dr SID and D’Prince.
Reekado Banks latest , hot and smoking track is “Katapot”. This song was released on the 13th of February 2015 and as usual Don Jazzy was behind the production of the song . Rumour has it that the song was done intentionally to diss D’banj and Wande Coal. But Don Jazzy has openly denied the allegations in a series of tweets.
