Hoodlums invade EKSUTH, attack doctors and remove corpse

On Monday, January 15, 2024, suspected thugs broke into the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH), Ado-Ekiti, and attacked medical staff members who were on duty due to a relative’s death in the accident and emergency department.

It was learned that the criminals who broke into the teaching hospital also damaged a few other buildings before stealing a body that was thought to be the father of one of the criminals.

According to reports, the man who was taken to the hospital’s Accident and Emergency department for treatment died early on Monday. The man’s son, who was among the invaders, accused the attending physicians and other medical staff of negligence and incompetence, which led to his father’s death.
