Young woman dies after allegedly jumping from 3rd floor of apartment in Kenya

Nelvin Museti, a 28-year-old woman, is said to have died after falling from an apartment’s third story in the Lang’ata neighborhood of Nairobi County, Kenya.

As reported by the media, Mr. Mwangi, the Ascort Apartments’ caretaker, reported the horrific event to the authorities on Sunday morning, January 14, 2024.

“There was a lady who had jumped from the third floor of the apartment,” Mr. Mwangi reported the incident, according to the initial police report.

When police officers arrived at the location following the distress call, they found Ms. Museti’s body lying at the rear of the apartment complex.

She did not appear to be physically hurt, according to preliminary accounts, but blood was apparently streaming out of her nose.

Eyewitnesses, including neighbours, informed the police and Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) detectives that they heard a loud thud, prompting them to investigate, only to find the tragic aftermath.

“The scene was processed by crime scene personnel, and the body, which had no physical injury but blood oozing from the nose, has been moved to the City Mortuary awaiting post-mortem,” the police report stated.

As investigations into the circumstances surrounding Ms Museti’s death unfold, DCI sleuths are working to determine whether foul play was involved, raising the possibility that she may have been killed before the fatal fall.

Upon hearing the heartbreaking news, friends and family gathered on social media to pay tribute to Ms Museti.

When neighbors and other witnesses heard a loud thud, they went to investigate and discovered the awful aftermath, which is why the police and investigators from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) were notified.

DCI sleuths are investigating whether foul play was involved in Ms. Museti’s death as the facts surrounding her fall out, which raises the likelihood that she was murdered prior to her deadly fall.
