South Africans threaten Super Eagles goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali

Stanley Nwabali, the goalie for the Super Eagles, has allegedly received threats following Nigeria’s victory over South Africa in their qualification match.

Idah Peterside, a former football player for the Super Eagles International, stated the following this morning on Channels TV:

The main issue we’ve had is that we’ve received some texts threatening the goalkeeper. I’ve heard that some are encouraging him not to return to South Africa because you didn’t want our team to win. There have been no reports of violence. but only warnings. They have been threatening both him and other individuals.
