Woman decries killing of monarch in Ekiti community

A citizen of the Ekiti town, where a suspected Fulani herders killed a king, has expressed outrage over their recent ordeals.

Speaking with Governor Biodun Oyebanji on his visit to the community following the occurrence, the woman disclosed that the assassinated King allegedly advised the locals to cast their ballots for the All Progressives Congress.

Additionally, she revealed that the reason they are not at peace is because herdsmen are currently killing kings. Says she:

“Your Excellency, the king was sitting outside during the election, telling everyone to vote for the All Progressive Party.” Our peace of mind has been disturbed by Fulani herders, who have been murdering kings in addition to villagers.
