AFCON 2023: Goalkeeper Nwabali may face Angola

The Nigeria Football Federation has stated that if Stanley Nwabali passes the late fitness test scheduled for this Wednesday, he would still be eligible to be selected for the quarterfinal matchup against Palancas Negras of Angola.

The Chippa United goalkeeper has won the hearts of Nigerians with his confident demeanor between the sticks and his penchant for launching onslaughts with long kicks that have been unsettling the opposition at this tournament, at a time when the country’s football scene has been lacking in quality goalkeepers.
