After reportedly engaging in sexual activity with a married woman who was thought to be his girlfriend in a well-known hotel in Ondo town, Ondo State, a man known as Abiodun Akintomowo passed away.
It was learned that on Sunday, January 21, 2024, the event took place in a hotel in the community’s Akinjagunla neighborhood.
Reports state that following the purported sex session, the dead slumped in the hotel room, prompting the woman to sound the alarm. It was reported that the hotel manager and a few residents hurried to the scene and tried in vain to save the man. Later on, his death was verified.
The hotel’s management then reported the issue to the local Yaba Divisional Police Station.
According to State Police Command Spokesperson Mrs. Funmilayo Odunlami, who verified the occurrence on Tuesday, January 23, two people have been taken into custody in relation to a man’s death.
According to the PPRO, one of the suspects was the deceased’s girlfriend, while the other was the hotel owner where the crime took place.
“The man (deceased) was not feeling alright after the sexual intercourse with the lady in the hotel, so he was rushed to the hospital and later died. The two suspects are still in our custody,” Odunlami stated.
She said an investigation into the matter was still ongoing while the remains of the deceased had been deposited at the morgue of a hospital in the town.
