UTME 2020: See The Full List of Candidates Caught For Malpractice.

The full list of candidates caught for examination malpractice during the 2020 UTME has been released. It was confirmed that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has published names of 149 candidates caught for various examination malpractices in the 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

In a report by Concise News, names and states of the 149 candidates who were caught for examination malpractice were published in it’s March 23 bulletin, after concluding the 2020 UTME on Sunday, March 22.

According to the list published, Imo state is at the Apex of the list with 26 candidates, Imo State was followed by Anambra and Enugu with 12 apiece, while Kaduna and Kano had 10 candidates each.

Here is the offences which the candidates were accused of:
Tampering with examination documents, smuggling of electronic devices phones into the examination halls, examination by proxy, attempt to cheat, forceful entrance, connivance to cheat, double registration, smuggled electronic device into examination hall, unruly behaviour, and faking of vital document.

In a statement released by JAMB, the board said:

“Examination Infraction in the UTME is declining with the 2020 experience. However, out of the 1,945,983 million candidates who sat the examination, prima facie cases of examination misconduct have been made against the following 149 candidates,”

“The board has successfully concluded the conduct of the 2020 UTME. The examination was concluded in most states on Thursday, March 19. Also, 10 other states completed on Saturday, March 21, while Bayelsa with only four approved Computer-Based Test centres after a number of the centres have been delisted for one infraction or the other had to complete its examination on Sunday based on an understanding with stakeholders in Bayelsa not to extend the examination beyond Sunday.”
