ASUU opposed passage of anti-sexual harassment bill – Omo-Agege

 

Ovie Omo-Agege, Nigeria’s Deputy Senate President, has pointed an accusation finger at members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) saying they strongly opposed passage of the anti-sexual harassment bill in the 8th senate.

The bill was reintroduced by Ovie Omo-Agege in the 9th senate, he made this known while speaking at a policy dialogue on the anti-sexual harrasment bill in Abuja.

Senator Omo-Agege further stated that the bill which is at the stage of public hearing in the senate will serve as protection for university students facing sexual harassment from lecturers as well as other academic and non-academic staff.
