Police arrest quack doctor over d£ath of patient in Nasarawa

The Nasarawa State Police Command has arrested a 35-year-old quack medical doctor, Isa Usman over the d@ath of a patient in the Keana Local Government Area of the state.   Usman who hails from Gombe State was arrested in Iyayi, a community in Keana LGA after allegedly administering an injection that led to the d3ath of the patient, Zaki Yaka Ajohol.   The suspect who has only a First School Leaving Certificate, FSLC claimed to have received medical training at Asibitin Yusuf in Agyaragu, Obi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.  The spokesperson of the command, DSP Ramhan Nansel, who disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, said preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect whose level of education is the primary school leaving certificate hails from Pindi village, Akko LGA of Gombe State.  He confessed to procuring and administering procaine injections to his victim for three days to treat typhoid.   On the fourth day, the suspect administered the same dose of injection, which made the victim fall immediately after and become unconscious.  The victim was rushed to primary health care at Akeleku where he was confirmed d@ad,” the PPRO stated.  “Consequently, some drugs and other medical implements were recovered from the suspect as an exhibit. The Commissioner of Police Umar Shehu Nadada has ordered the transfer of the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Lafia for further investigation and prosecution.”   The post Police arrest quack doctor over dath of patient in Nasarawa appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
