Abducted Kogi journalist’s wife and daughters regain freedom

The family of Kogi based journalist, Mohammed Bashir, and nine others kidnapped two weeks ago in a Kaduna State have regained their freedom. Bashirs wife, Aminat Shana, his two daughters, Aisha and Hajara, were kidnapped alongside their family members in August 2024.  The journalist, a correspondent with the Nigeria Telegraph, confirmed the development in a statement issued on Saturday, August 31, 2024, but didn’t disclose whether ransom was paid to secure their freedom. My dear Colleagues, I wish to thank you all for your prayers and concern, my family and other family members kidnapped three weeks ago in Kaduna have finally been released.
